85 and Sunnies

Sunglasses are one of the most versatile items in the accessory world. Dressy, casual, funky, flirty, tinted, metallic – there are options for literally every outfit, occasion, and unique style. Personally, I own a few pairs & I rotate them depending on my outfit and activity. I usually play it safe with accessories by sticking to neutral colors such as browns + blacks (they match almost anything!), but I also love the idea of having a unique twist to my looks.

So,  when I discovered SpexOfTime.com, an online vintage eyewear boutique founded and run out of Baltimore, I fell in love.

Ever since I was a little girl, my mom stressed how awesome it is to be different. I loved owning unique or vintage pieces of clothing + accessories because I knew I would never run into anyone wearing the same thing as me. And if you remember from some of my previous posts, I’m a big advocate of #ShopSmall and #ShopLocal. With such a wide selection, they have a pair for every gender and style (did I also mention they have clear lenses?!)

So the idea of trendy, vintage high-quality sunglasses at a reasonable price is totally something I could dig. I snagged a pair of the Joyful Tortoises (safe color choice + funky rounded frames) and I couldn’t be happier. I wore them on my July 4th trip to Washington D.C. and hardly took them off!

I wore the Joyful Tortoises while wandering Washington D.C. on July 4th weekend!

Don’t be fooled, I’m actually really happy in this picture! (But I caught my best friend snapping candids so I was probably saying something sassy)
