Our outdoorsy crew went for another hike in Shenandoah National Park recently. Some less-than-stellar planning had us entering the park unsure of which trail we would traverse; but after consulting a Park Ranger, we decided to take on the Stony Man Trail (because we could successfully hike it within our allotted time frame, ~2 hours.)
We may have started the trail backwards, and I may have freaked out because I thought we were lost, but we made it out alive! And with an album full of photos.
Seriously guys, check out these views!
Losing yourself in nature is refreshing – and sitting atop a mountain staring at all the natural beauty this world has to offer is such a nice change of pace from the hustle + social-media bustle.
When the weather warms up, I highly suggest getting out to your closest National Park and get hiking. Whether it’s for an hour or an afternoon, put your phone on airplane mode and enjoy the company of your fellow hikers, creatures, and Mother Nature. I know it always helps me come back refreshed + with a new perspective on life’s problems.
Until next time, keep it wild.
