How many of you have been to R.House?? To those of you who have, good work! To those of you who haven’t — get your a$$ moving up to Remington. Why? Because no matter your dietary restrictions, palate, or budget, this launch-pad styled food hall has got everything you could want + more.
Korean BBQ? Got it. Ice cream? Got it. Fried chicken? Got it. Arepas? Got it. Poke? Got it. Mediterranean Street food? Got it. Juices? Got it. Vegetarian options? Got it.
I could keep going but I won’t… instead, click the link HERE to read + listen to the bios of the current R.House stands. This new space is an awesome addition to Baltimore’s already-diverse food scene, but I think of R.House as the Northern sister to Mount Vernon Marketplace.
Because the trendy spot offers so many options for eaters to choose from, I’ll be chronicling my stops through R.House, trying some of the offerings from each restaurant. First up, BRD.
“BRD delivers two classic comfort foods – fried chicken sandwiches and wings – made with top quality ingredients. The chicken is brined, battered and double-fried, before being served with toppings and sauces from around the world. House-made iced teas, slaws, veggie sides will round out the menu.”
What I Ordered:
This twist on an classic fried chicken sandwich is all you need in life (and for dinner) — it’s delicious and HUGE. Consider BRD to be your local Chick-Fil-A, but if my opinion means anything, I’m rating it wayyyy better than the chain joint.
If you need more proof, see others’ drool-worthy pics of BRDs sandwiches and wings HERE. The spot is run by Alexander Janian and open M-F 11:30AM – 9PM + SA-SU 11:30AM-10PM.
So, I’m encouraging you to get out of your comfort zone, up to R.house, and plant yourself down in a chair to taste all the dishes place has to offer us Baltimoreans! I’ve linked the location below (no ‘I don’t know where it is’ excuses!)
Until next time, keep foodventuring!
