I don’t know what I love more: Fall activities, Fall weather, or Fall fashion. Luckily, it’s almost November, all three are in full swing, and there are only a few times in the year where my heart is this happy. A fellow Fall fanatic? Then you know that September + October are the perfect time to go apple picking!
One of many fun Fall activities, apple picking is yet another way you can support local. And hey, it doesn’t hurt that it doubles as the perfect excuse to dress up cute and snap some pics, right? So, we took a girls’ trip out to Larriland Farm in Woodbine, MD, a family-owned farm in Howard County, during peak apple harvest; we collected laughs, picked ripe apples, and continued to support both the Baltimore and blogger communities during our Fall Baltimore Babes shoot.
I was already stoked for the shoot, but when Anna, Carisa, and I showed up in unintentionally coordinated Fall outfits, I knew everything was going to fall into place on this gorgeous, Fall Sunday. I also knew this was the perfect occasion to wear my Good Vibes Only personalized cuff from Firefly Jewelry Designs, a local, Baltimore-based Etsy shop.
Larriland Farm’s growing season starts in May with strawberries and ends the first weekend in November with apples. You’ve got about one more weekend if you’re still looking to pick up some apples in 2017. This year, I got in two visits to the farm, scoring not only apples, but apple butter, apple fritters, and apple cider.
