5 INVESTMENT PIECES WORTH EVERY $

Updated: Nov 8, 2020

This topic was highly requested on Instagram, so it's about time I posted My 5 Investment Pieces Worth Every $! Being the practical shopper that I am, I want to spend my money on items that are versatile and out of which I'm going to get a lot of wear. I mentioned this in previous posts so this should come as no surprise. To spread practical and sustainable love to you all, I'm giving insight into my closet and sharing 5 pieces that, in my opinion, are worth every dollar of their respective price tags.

------

Eve Flats, No Lost Sole

The Eve flat from No Lost Sole is worth every $ because it's the perfect everyday shoe. If you needed another excuse to splurge on a cute pair of leopard flats, your purchase from No Lost Sole supports a local, Baltimore-based company. The pointed toe and fine calf hair gives the shoe an elevated look. I've been walking into my purpose wearing the Eve flat for the past year, wearing them multiple times a week. Let's do the math. What's (($69)/(3 days a week))/52 weeks)? 45 cents per wear. Invest in your shoe game and grab a pair for yourself!

Black Wool Cape

After picking it out and trying it on at Milk & Ice Vintage, my mother bought this vintage, black wool cape as a Christmas gift for me. Costing around ~$100, this piece of wool outerwear is one of the warmest pieces I own. It's also one of the chicest. I always get compliments when I wear it. Come winter, it's the perfect piece to keep me warm without compromising on style making this cape is one of my favorite examples how to shop for both style and sustainability. Curvy Skinny Jeans, LOFT

These jeans are the definition of "everyday denim". Available in a range of sizes, as well as Petite and Tall sizes, there is bound to be a pair of curvy skinny jeans for you. High waisted options too! I have the LOFT Curvy Skinny Jeans in Dark Wash (linked below) -- and they are AMAZING. Worth every penny. They can be dressed up or down, and the Dark Wash always look polished. Additional pairs are also available in select sizes at the LOFT Outlet, linked here.

Snakeskin Boots, Sam Edelman

I loved my first pair of Sam Edelman snakeskin boots so much -- I bought another pair. These boots are also a fan favorite -- I got so many compliments and comments when I wear my secondhand blue/teal pair, I had to buy a yellow pair from their NYC store. I can say, without a doubt, Sam Edelman boots are the most comfortable boots I've owned. They have a zipper to assist getting them on/off with stretch to fit a range of calf sizes. Each pair cost me about $140. They're so versatile and make such a statement that I encourage everyone to get a pair!

White Converse

A classic is a classic. I don't think I need to convince you that white Converse are worth every $, but if I do, let me make my argument. Need to dress down a cute dress for daytime? White Converse. Need cute, practical shoes for a vacation? Converse. Don't feel like wearing flats but don't want to wear heels? Converse. It's a shoe that goes with every outfit -- and I can't get enough of mine. The price tag, around $50, is probably less than what you spend on lunches for the week or out at the bar on a Saturday night. So yeah, they're worth every $. Affordable pairs are linked below!
