JANUARY HOME PURCHASES

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

I shared my January home updates on Instagram, but for ease of reference and accessibility, here's a round up of my January Home Purchases! ICYMI, we recently moved and are in the process of (re)decorating and transforming our small space into one that feels like home.

Since we're picky (and on budget), we have made these purchases at our own pace. I've already shared our first 5 purchases for the apartment, as well as our mid-century inspired rug, our cordless vacuums, and our kitchen must-haves.

BATH MATS

We were in desperate need of bath mats for our bathroom. I'm picky and won't just buy anything. Our bath towels are multicolored, and I knew I wanted to highlight the light blue or teal to bring the space together. I hadn't found the exact color I wanted until I came across these bath mats from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. There are 15+ color options. If you're looking for a unique color of bathmat, check out the selection of colors available here.

TOOTHBRUSH HOLDER

After moving in, we kept out toothbrushes on our bathroom countertop, but that gold old fast. I've been on the lookout for bathroom countertop organization products, and this toothbrush holder caught my eye. I love the neutral color with leopard texture. Perfect for bringing a little fun into a shared bathroom and bought it for under $15. Shop the toothbrush holder here.

CORDLESS VACUUM

If you missed it, I wrote an entire post reviewing our new cordless vacuum. I purchased it from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and it met my non-negotiables: under $200, designed to work on carpet/rugs and hardwood floor, and a compact design for easy storage. Overall, I'm impressed with the vacuum and so far, it's worth the $150 I paid for it. Shop the cordless vacuum here.

SHELF DESK

I prefer separation of my work and personal spaces, therefore, working from home (WFH) has not great for my productivity. BUT WFH is my current reality (and future) so I knew I needed a more dedicated work space than my kitchen counter or dining table.

Cue, this shelf desk! It's perfect for creating a dedicated work space in a small space/in an apartment, and the shelves make the unit practical for decoration and storage. I plan to store important documents on the first shelf for accessibility.

IF you're also in the market for a shelf desk, this is one of the more affordable options. I got the ivory + wood color but also comes in a gray + wood.

If you love anything I've shared here, comment on this post, send to a friend, and/or recreate it with your own personal flair. For more home inspiration, check out previous posts under the AT HOME tab.

Until next time,

Hi! I really love your website, and the aesthetic as well! I was thinking of perhaps starting a website as well. What is the platform you use for this website called? Or how did you create this website?
