I've always associated quilted outerwear with the British luxury brand Barbour. While structured and iconic, Barbour jackets aren't necessarily unique. They are a staple in the Northeast, and as a result, I've never really considered quilted jackets a 'must-have' for my closet.
I've been on a green kick lately, so I've been on the lookout for green pieces that catch my eye as I scroll the Rent the Runway website. I didn't think quilted jackets were for me....until I spotted this BlankNYC jacket . I was instantly intrigued. Sage and olive greens always compliment my red hair, and the mid-thigh length of the jacket was a style I'd never seen before. Plus, the collar made the jacket feel more like a shacket, perfect for stying a chic, casual look.
So, I rented the jacket and styled it with my favorite pair of jeans, my secondhand Ferragamo boots, and an ombre Sandro Paris top.
This coat changed my mind about quilted jackets, so I decided to browse the internet for a variety of quilted jackets. From classic Barbour to edgy Veronica beard, here are my picks for quilted outerwear.
