Working from home requires....silk pajamas. Most days, I don't have the motivation to get dressed, put on a full outfit, or do my makeup. My mental health has struggled working from home during COVID-19 pandemic. I'm not ashamed of that. I prefer a very clear separation between my work and home spaces, nonetheless, working from home is my current reality. I'm learning how to code, analyze data, and make figures, and while it's not easy learning a new 'languages' at 27, earning a PhD is all about learning. I'm often frustrated and confused, so I've tried to elevate my WFH experience (and my self-esteem) with luxury printed pajamas.
During Spring of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was fresh and new, I purchased printed silk pajamas from the Brazilian luxury brand, PatBO. The brand's bold patterns and colors always brighten my mood, and purchasing a PatBO piece has been on my financial goal list for awhile. Given lockdowns and cancelled vacations, it seemed impractical to buy a gown from PatBO's resort line...so I ordered a pair of silk pajamas! Silk PJs may seem like an expensive purchase, but ultimately, they feel like an investment in myself. When I need an extra boost of confidence or motivation? Silk pajamas. When I'm feeling myself? Silk pajamas. When I want to be cozy and chic running errands? Silk pajamas.
What I love most about my PatBO silk pajamas? They can be styled and worn outside of the house for a luxe, effortless look! To style my set, I added a bold belt to compliment the red accents in PatBo's Grace floral pattern, magenta earrings, and nude heels. I also plan to style the kimono-style top and silk pants as separates for future looks. The possibilities are endless and repurposing pieces already in your closet helps combat consumer overconsumption!
